What is Iyengar Yoga?
IYENGAR Yoga, evolved by B.K.S. Iyengar, is a carefully structured method with attention given to correct alignment and safe progression of asanas (postures).
This method of yoga is suitable for all and the sequences of postures help you develop flexibility, strength, stamina, improved posture, concentration, relaxation and a sense of wellbeing.
Supports or ‘props’ might be used to help students progress their practice safely.
As your practice matures and your understanding increases pranayama (breathing technique) is introduced.
